Hello and thanks for stopping by. This blog will be a hub for all the Real Estate related information I pick up along my travels in the Treasure Valley. I am a licensed Realtor® in both Idaho and Nevada, specializing primarily in the Treasure Valley Real Estate Market.

I’m excited about where Idaho is positioned in today’s housing market! With all of the “doom and gloom” the media has portrayed, Idaho (especially Southwestern Idaho) is one of only a handful of markets that are actually appreciating!

Although we saw a slowdown from 2005-2006, our overall outlook is fabulous! Unlike so many housing markets across the country, Boise and the surrounding cities were fortunate because they didn’t see the “pricing plateau” so many others faced. The rapid increase in housing prices hit this area fairly late in the game. Good news- doesn’t look like we’re going to have to wait nearly as long as many, many other areas to see a turn. Housing inventory is already moving. Buyers are buying homes. Sellers are selling. Prices have dipped just enough to make homes affordable to a larger percentage of people.

More people can afford homes = More people who will purchase homes. Nothing convoluted about that, right?!

Our positioning in this market, coupled with all of the wonderful reports, statistics, and news articles touting our area as a wide variety of “Best Of’s”, are proving, on a National level, that our valley is still a smart investment and will continue to flourish- even when the media reports not-so-favorable information about other cities and states.
