About this Data: Averages can be a bit misleading. There are always a few properties that can throw the information presented to us out of whack.

For example, a home that is priced excessively high, thus keeping it on the market for a long period of time, can dramatically change the “Average Days on Market”.

If we were to take those select properties out of the equation, the numbers would change drastically.

What I see: Homes in Boise (especially those in the 0-$300,000 range) are definitely selling! On average, all the homes in Boise that sold during the month of March, were only on the market for 62 days- a far cry from the “horrible” real estate market the media continues to portray to the masses.

Yes, there is a lot listed right now out there. Now that Spring is here, the number of homes for sale will increase, but along with the increase of properties that become list- will come buyers who purchase those properties.

What is today’s buyer looking at when purchasing?

Price is definitely the #1 factor that is selling our homes in today’s housing market. Priced correctly, with careful attention to the presentation of the house itself, a home will sell within a fair amount of time.
